Kay Ellen Willoughby, M.D.
Kay Ellen Willoughby, M.D.,
is a primary care physician who specializes in skin care and dermatological services. Dr. Willoughby is dedicated to the highest
standards of care in providing advanced services for cosmetic enhancement and patients with special skin care needs.
Dr. Kay Ellen Willoughby is a native of Jacksonville, Ala., and a graduate of Auburn University. She received her medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine and performed an internship in Memphis, Tenn., focusing on primary care medicine, plastic surgery and dermatology.
Following her fellowship, Dr. Willoughby worked as a research physician in the field of dermatology at Schering-Plough Pharmaceutical Company, in Memphis. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine. Since her family's move to Birmingham in 1998, Dr. Willoughby has worked in primary care medicine with a specific focus in dermatology. She has also worked with other plastic surgeons and allergist groups seeing patients with dermatologic conditions.
